Founded in 2003, the firm of J. Kretschmer Architect is located in Los Gatos, California and our specialty is helping homeowners achieve their dreams. That’s why our slogan is “Realize YOUR Vision.” It’s not about us, fancy magazines, or unattainable prices. It’s about making the home YOU want. Of course, if you’d like us to design you a home that will win awards and get featured in magazines, we can do that too.
Jennifer
Kretschmer.
The principal architect, Jennifer Kretschmer, AIA is licensed in California and has over 25 years of experience designing homes. A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, she is a member of the American Institute of Architects where she has served at the local and state board of directors. She also holds an NCARB certificate.
Jennifer is credentialed as a LEED Green Associate. With her LEED credential she guides the firm in creating zero net energy, LEED Certified, energy efficient, and green homes for clients that want their homes to be healthier and more respectful to the environment.
Jennifer is currently on the Board of Directors for the AIA Silicon Valley Chapter and has been elected 2020 Vice President and 2021 President of the Chapter. Since 2016, she has been the chairperson for the AIASVC CRAN (Custom Residential Architect Network). Jennifer is also involved in the Los Gatos community and has served on the Citizen’s Bond Oversight committee and is in her 10th year as an Art Docent for the LGUSD.
She also expanded the firm to include her passion for the visual arts by offering clients a network of artists for commissioned works including her own artwork.
The firm is a unique "virtual office" and practices remote working strategies as part of our green, sustainable, environmental practice of ending car commuting.
The Team.
The firm is supported by a small specialized team of designers and architects in Silicon Valley with more team members located all over the United States. It's our dedication to clients and hard work that allow us to deliver beautiful, energy efficient buildings & provide the highest quality customer service.
Since the way we run our firm is a new and unique architectural firm model, Jennifer has been asked to speak on the subject and train other architects across the nation on virtual office and remote working strategies.
